Passport To Adventure

I don;t know if everyone knows about this, but each summer the Kane-DuPage Regional Museum Association puts on a program called Passport To Adventure. Kids can pick up a passport booklet at any one of the participating museums. The booklet has a page for each museum. Whenever you go to the museums (many of these small, local museums are free or very cheap) kids can get the page for that museum stamped. When they've gotten at least five stamps, they can pick up a certificate and a prize!
The kids and I did this last summer, and it was very cool. Some of the museums plan special activities for the kids who are participating. Other museums have turned out to be unexpected treasures, with their kid-friendly ammenities! We discovered a lot of new places last summer, and this summer we'll be reviewing many of them in this blog. I hope you'll participate along with us! What a great way to learn more about our community!
